As part of the concert cycles "Organ" and "The Art of Brass", the phil Blech Wien present Live From Vienna, a concert programme set in the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus. Together with guest musician Olivier Latry (titular organist on the great organ of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris), a world premiere is on the program this time: Gerd Hermann Ortler's "Urbang. The birth of the universe". The work for organ, brass ensemble, percussion and women's choir is a composition commissioned by the Vienna Konzerthaus.
Also on the programme: "The Planets" by Gustav Holst, Suite for large orchestra op. 32 (arranged for organ, brass ensemble, percussion and women's choir: Mark Gaal).
