Digital Booklet
The Choir & Orchestra of the J.S. Bach Foundation is in the process of performing the complete vocal oeuvre of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750), a remarkable undertaking that will take a total of around 25 years. Every month, the ensemble performs one Bach cantata under the baton of Rudolf Lutz. With a rhythm of 12 cantata concerts per year, the project is estimated to conclude in 2027. The artistic director of the Foundation is Rudolf Lutz, who rehearses and conducts all performances with the Foundation's choir, orchestra and vocal soloists. Through its concerts and activities, the J.S. Bach Foundation strives to provide a living experience of Bach's music and to promote a deeper understanding of the great composer's oeuvre. The album Bach-Kantaten N°34 contains the recordings of the following cantatas: BWV 120 Gott, man lobet dich in der Stille. BWV 215 Preise dein Glücke, gesegnetes Sachsen.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
