This is the premiere recording of Michaël Levinas’s score for Opéra de Lausanne’s 2015 production of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry beloved book, Le petit prince. A landmark work as the first operatic adaption of the novel in French, Levinas’s dissonant but beautiful vocal writing and sparse orchestral accompaniment are a fitting medium for this eerie and allegorical story.
