Turkish guitarist Timuçin Şahin’s Flow State is a band that reflects on the mental state you sink into when pursuing a creative activity, completely giving over to the pleasure of it. His bandmates, pianist Cory Smythe, bassist Christopher Tordidi and drummer Tom Rainey work with Şahin in a collective individuality, combining their unique approaches in fearless and impressive improvisations. The eight pieces on Nothing Bad Can Happen combine influences from rock to Ornette Coleman’s free jazz, developing a surprising mixtures of sounds that flow into extremely entertaining stories.
