A large part of Feliks Nowowiejski's work , especially larger works, remained in the manuscripts and soon after the composer's death (1946) it was forgotten, as if encoded into oblivion. This state of affairs continued until recent years, when part of the Polish music community began to notice acute gaps in knowledge about the works of their composers.
For this release, the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic Orchestra and Cracow Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic Choir cover Nowowiejski's appropriately titled work, "Powrót syna marnotrawnego, Op. 3" ("Return of the prodigal son").
