Honey B. Family is a natural born trio. Lead vocalist and bass player Aija ”Honey B” Puurtinen and guitar player/singer Esa Kuloniemi are complemented by their 15-year old son Moses on drums and vocals.
After a 35-year career (as the front figures of Honey B & T-Bones), Puurtinen and Kuloniemi are considered true legends in the Finnish blues scene, and Junior is already an esteemed jazz and blues drummer in his own right. The trio’s debut album consists mostly of originals added with some blues and gospel classics.
Now, for their 40th Anniversary, the band releases their retrospective collection Buzzing!, which features some of the band's favourite songs over the years replayed with today's interpretation. The songs haven't been commercially available anymore, so it was nice to record them for fans too. The album features two previously unreleased songs: "Ride! Ride! Suffering!" is a brand new song and "Keep Your Lamp Trimmed" and Burning is an audience favorite arrangement of traditional gospel blues theme.
