Born in Venezuela and raised in the US, Machuchi's life has always been centred around music. His father kept all types of instruments around the house which greatly piqued Machuchi's interest, so he taught himself to play them by ear, including guitar, piano, drums and world percussion. The young artist soon began to sing and compose his own style of music which seemed to transcend all genres and eras. On his debut album Son Cosas, he has built a musical time machine of sorts that allows him to explore music throughout different times in world history, from a 1940s Cuban cha-cha-cha to a full-out futuristic pop duet lavished with electronic landscapes. His music is a rebirth of Latin heritage disguised as time travel pop, which he hopes will remind all Latin Americans to never forget their roots, their culture, where they came from and most importantly, where they are heading.
