Christmas at Norwich was envisioned by conductor Ashley Grote as a snapshot of the holiday celebrations at the esteemed cathedral and as such, the 80-minute programme contains both the familiar and the unexpected, including several lesser-known choral gems. Highlights include the ubiquitous Once in Royal David's City performed with the Stephen Cleobury descant, John Rutter's What Sweeter Music and a rousing rendition of Hark the Herald Angels Sing, arranged by the choir's director.
