“... his jazz talent never received the full international recognition it deserves.” - The Jazz Guitar Hardly a household name, jazz guitarist Joe Puma had a 50-year career as a sideman for other artists but rarely recorded under his own name. He was a favourite guitarist of Peggy Lee and Tony Bennett but recorded with dozens of other major names in jazz during his career. Puma performs here with Vinnie Burke on bass, Don Elliott on vibes, Barry Galbraith on guitar and drummer Todd Sommer. This album is part of the East Coast Jazz series launched by producer Creed Taylor at Bethlehem Records in 1954 to distinguish the new music emerging in New York from the new jazz in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
