Erland Cooper shares a new mesmerizing ambient album to be listened to while growing your own flowers and plants. The Scottish modern classical/ambient composer creates a hypnotic sonic embrace for thinking about our relationship with nature, blending the sounds of piano, harp, cello, violin and vocals with atmospheric electronics. Nodding to impressionist painting techniques, he intends for the listener to hear new textures upon each listen. The album’s A Side is the commissioned soundscape for Superbloom, an installation of 20 million newly sown flowers at the Tower of London, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The music amplifies the installation’s emotional impact, including for the visually-impaired, by rebalancing the dominant city noises and intertwining specific audio frequencies to uncover harmony in the most bustling of environments. The B Side features further entrancing atmospheric tracks vivid with dreamy melodies for piano, harp, cello, violin and vocals.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
