Recorded at the veritable Vatican of jazz, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Lincoln Center, Caribbean Tinge from famed Cuban pianist Elio Villafranca celebrates the traditions and rhythms of the Caribbean while fully embracing elements of modern jazz. The result is a Bauza-, Ellington- and Gillespie-infused take on movement and syncopation in eight Villafranca originals performed with passion by his all-star band, the Jass Syncopators.
