Digital Booklet
"... really stands out by offering a classy and modern jazz seeped in pop and rock that is both sensitive and energetic ..." - PBS The debut album from this acclaimed, innovative, award-winning young jazz trio. The classic jazz trio lineup of piano/bass/drums is modernized and presented to a new generation by a new generation, spiced up with sound effects, loops, percussion and sampling. "The songs that are today known as jazz standards, used to be the popular songs of that time. They used to be the songs from Broadway, from the plays, from the musical comedies. And then the jazzmen would take these songs and interpret them and improvise over them with their own settings and add a saxophone and a trumpet and do a little arrangement there and deconstruct a bit there. Those songs are a part of our history and it's important, but we like to configure our own standards. I think if there's any way we can try to make jazz a little bit more accessible ... I think jazz has so much quality that young people can relate to, if only we would speak to the crowd and go a little bit their way so they can come our way." - Jérôme Beaulieu

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
