Award-winning contemporary ensemble the Zephyr Quartet perform two works by Australian composer Stephen Whittington on this release. The centrepiece of the album is ...From a Thatched Hut, a seven part work inspired by the composer's travels through China, followed by the haunting quartet Windmills, a piece which echoes the movement and sounds of the iconic structures found throughout the rural Australian landscape.
