This release sees the winner of the 2016 Alhambra International Guitar Competition, Andrea González Caballero, perform a diverse range of guitar works. Drawing pieces from across the centuries and around the globe, this recital unites 19th-century Spanish works like Francisco Tárrega's Recuerdos de la Alhambra with contemporary works by composers such as Sérgio Assad and 20th-century pieces including Benjamin Britten's Nocturnal After John Dowland: Reflections on Come, Heavy Sleep, making for a colourful, globe trotting listening experience.
