Liszt Macabre comes from French pianist Nathanaël Gouin and presents a programme of works for solo piano by the famous Romantic composer. Taking inspiration from Liszt's interest in spirituality and the supernatural, this collection draws together programmatic works which explore those themes, from the Harmonies poétiques et religieuses III to the Totentanz, an arrangement of the Dies Irae from Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, performed with dramatic flair by Gouin.
