Provenance is the first commercially recorded album from the New Jersey-based choir Kinnara Ensemble. Founded in 2008 by alumni of the Westminster Choir College, this release reflects on the choir's development since then and includes repertoire from across the centuries, from de Lassus's Musica Dei donum optimi à 6 to Brahms's Fest- und Gedenksprüche and Poulenc's 7 Chansons, as well as both contemporary and traditional songs, making for a rich and varied programme which displays the well-blended warmth of the Kinnara sound.
