The Sons of Truth were a funk-gospel group whose only album A Message From the Ghetto was released on the Stax Records Gospel Truth subsidiary in 1972. Their infectious grooves and charisma made them a danceable favourite and the five vocalists in the band sizzle and charm, moving from acid-rock influenced tracks to slow soul ballads.
