Renowned Swiss cellist Thomas Demenga presents his interpretations of J.S. Bach's Préludes & Sarabandes, part of his project to record the complete Cello Suites and the second time he has captured these illustrious works in his long career. Performed using a Baroque bow and gut strings and recorded at the Hans Huber Saal in Basel, Demenga's sound is warm yet buoyant and he approaches the fast movements with an admirable lightness of touch.
