Nerd-rock icons Weezer release the final edition of their new seasonal EP project, SZNZ: Winter. Each of the EPs has been released on the first day of each of the seasons in 2022, with each having its own motif and production style based on the corresponding season. Winter features 7 tracks of brand-new originals!
Rivers Cuomo described Weezer's planned winter-themed album in early 2021 as stylistically similar to the works of Elliott Smith, featuring "lots of loss and despair and kind of quiet."
"I had the thought that winter sounds more like the original pre-blue album Weezer then The Blue Album does. There hasn't been this much acoustic guitar and finger picking in Weezer since our first year together."
