The Orchestre National de Lille and conductor Darrell Ang present an energetic collection of some of Offenbach's less well-known compositions. Opening with the overture to his famous Orphée aux enfers, the release also includes the early piece Ouverture à grand orchestre alongside excerpts from other theatrical works such as La belle Hélène and his final operetta, La fille du tambour-major.
