Collegium Vocale Gent are joined by the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and conductor Philippe Herreweghe for a moving recording of Antonín Dvorák's religious cantata, Stabat Mater. Written between 1876 and 1877 in the wake of the deaths of three of his children, this setting of the Catholic hymn is particularly poignant, and is performed with sensitivity and warmth by the Belgian musicians.
