Bassist David Pastorius, nephew of late American jazz virtuoso bassist Jaco Pastorius, releases his new album Radio Gold, recorded at Studio 101 in Melbourne, FL. The album fuses alternative and instrumental genres, bringing together notable guest stars like Pat Travers (Pit Bike), Tom Allen (Rojas), David K. Mathews (Rojas), Michel Laredo aka MOMO (Supersonic), Carl Lewis (Thunderfoot, Radio Gold), James Culliver (Got It Good), Vinnie Marshall (Got It Good), Al Brodeur (Snake Pliskin, Candlebox, Nikoa, Shooting Star) and Alex Petrosky playing Drums on every track.
“As far as the different elements, I feel like it is what naturally comes out. It is not a contrived plan to [say] ‘Oh, I’m going to mix this.’ It’s just what happens. And especially with the guys I play with. That’s just the sound we came up with.”
