The Poulenc Trio is an American chamber music group consisting of an oboe, bassoon, and piano. Clearly, this ensemble plays a lot of Poulenc's works, but this album also features work by Shostakovich and Rossini. The thread connecting all of these works is the theme of traveling throughout the countryside.
