A.T.A (Acoustic Tarab Alchemy) was created by Tunisian musician with the goal of creating a sound that was spiritually specific to the Sufi singing tradition. On this self-titled debut album, this group goes beyond these spiritual boundaries and bring in a wide variety of musical elements such as Arab and African rhythms and jazzy melodies. But no matter how many genres they fuse together this group never loses sight of its traditional Sufi origins.
