Inspired by the composer Pauline Oliveros, audio engineer and performer Barış Ergün developed a vision for his album Modern Paralysis consisting of indeterminant electronic sounds and spacious sonic soundscapes. This album is also highly influenced by Ergün's experience as a synth player in an Istanbul-based experimental jazz band which can be heard on tracks like The Roots Follow and Slow Smoking Section.
