Bringing together young and old, the feast is at the heart of all cultures. Music has almost always been associated with it. Over the centuries, many works have been composed to celebrate or evoke it. What they have in common is that they link rhythm, melody and harmony in a powerful way, and this has guided the construction of this programme, where music and dance are intimately intertwined. Particular attention has been paid to music written today throughout the world and to the place given to women composers, in a programme that is therefore focused on the 20th and 21st centuries.
