In this rarely ever heard recording, recently re-edited and newly remastered version of Bruckner's Missa Solemnis, audiences can hear how his symphonic architecture is rooted in the Viennese Classicism traditions. Bruckner composed this piece for the inauguration service of collegiate provost Friedrich Mayr in 1854 and conductor Łukasz Borowicz perfectly captures this specific kind of celebration in this performance.
