All of the songs on Summertime Songs were written before the 2016 presidential election and now take on new meaning post-election. The once aetherial melodies are now translated as anxieties for American politics. Field Report embraces this evolution of meaning in the production of this album by enhancing the multi-purpose lyrics and motivic structures.
