The London Suede's self-titled debut was a critical and commercial triumph, winning the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for :Album Of The Year: and hitting the #1 spot on the UK Album Chart. Featuring the classic singles 'The Drowners', 'Animal Nitrate', 'So Young', and 'Metal Mickey', The London Suede sold 100,000 copies in it's first week, making it the fastest-selling debut album ever in the UK at the time. It was recorded in London at Master Rock studios late 1992 and early 1993 and was produced by Ed Buller.
This 2011 reissue features a brand new remaster!
