"… so quiet, so effective, sometimes dramatic, sometimes honest, so different - yes, something you should try - if you can endure this resonating sadness. But life is not always lit by the sun, so dare, listen to it." - Schwarzes Bayern There are only a few women in the music industry that walk their way as consistently and courageously as Synje Norland - that follow their talent and inner voice as self-determined. For nearly 10 years Synje Norland has been establishing herself as a slow-burn talent lying somewhere between the art of the weightless singer-songwriter and cinematic folklore. With her looks and her qualities as a singer, many producers would have liked seeing her as the new pop starlet. However Synje Norland wanted more than that. And she is capable of more than that. She writes music for film & television, produces her own albums and videos and has created her very own niche in the music scene. Right from the beginning always at her side - cellist Michael Becker. He understands Synje Norland’s music better than anyone, lending her music a backdrop made up of minors and striking subtlety. Yet Becker’s playing isn’t always lightly aesthetic, he can tear it up and even on occasion likes to disturb, always offering an exciting counterpoint to Synje Norland’s sometimes almost painfully beautiful expression. Together, Synje Norland and Michael Becker have created an enchanted soundtrack which perplexes attempts to categorize it.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
