The new solo album by Bone Zeno, Black Milk, features a raw explosive mix of blues, rock and punk.
Bone Zeno is cool, casual, charismatic and native Schleswiger, who - in the early 90s's - made it to London (with detours over Hamburg and Frankfurt). In the British metropolis, he experimented with techno, punk, and blues under the pseudonym D-66 - and performed there regularly.
On his upcoming solo album Black Milk, the guitarist and vocalist performs a wild, rough, and impulsive mix of blues, rock and punk - whose rebellious roots are in the edgy sound of bands and artists like The Birthday Party / Nick Cave, The Gun Club and Einstürende Neubautenlie.
In the process, his songs - which are predominantly influenced by existential themes - are a fascinating journey, especially paired with his unbridled explosive guitar playing (in the highest art-punk tradition), his rough vocal timbre, and his lyrical art.
