"... uniformly superb."
- All About Jazz
"... right up there with the best ... it leaves you wanting more."
- BNovaMusic.com
This album is a sequel, of sorts, to Stan Getz's 1962 hugely-successful collaboration with Charlie Byrd titled Jazz Samba. Released a year later to satisfy the ongoing demand for bossa nova music, it was one in a series of important bossa nova albums Getz recorded in the early 1960s with leading bossa nova guitarists: on this album the guest guitarist was revered Brazilian recording star Luiz Bonfa along with his wife, vocalist Maria Toledo.
