In Ancient Rome, Janus is the god of doors, thresholds, transitions, beginnings and endings. The post-punk of England, the Kraut of Germany, the psychedelia of California, the No Wave of New York, the electronics of modular synthesizers, the Ambient, the drums of Techno, the cathartic dance, the exaggerated reverberations, the concepts of Carl G. Jung, the ideas of Robert Anton Wilson and Timothy Leary, the thresholds between different states of consciousness, and above all the intimation with oneself were the themes that inspired Sol Oosel during the creation of Janus.
The recording and production of the album was carried out by Sol Oósel himself in his own studio called Wulkan Studies. Janus has the participation of distinguished colleagues: Migue from She's a Tease, Julian from Disco Noise, Phil Vinall from Zoe, Yamil Rezc, Renato del Real, Rodrigo Dávila from Villa Lobos, Jose from Da Punto Beat, Alejandro Constanzo from Pura Crema, and Memo Guerra from Abstrakt Muzak.
