On this album, Volker Hartung and great Ukrainian pianist Oleg Poliansky are celebrating the masterworks by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff: His fabulous and rarely performed 1st Piano Concerto in F sharp minor, the beautiful Vocalise, in the composer's own arrangement for Symphony Orchestra and an Etude tableaux for Solo-Piano. The recording was made in Cologne’s Kölner Philharmonie by David Schwager in Germany.
