On August 12, 2017, The Chamber Choir of Europe conducted by Nicol Matt took to the stage in the Stadtsaal, Kufstein, to produce a recording of the worldwide distinguished composer Morten Lauridsen for Deutsche Grammophon. The composer was present for the recordings and also accompanied his own pieces with the choir on the piano. The Chamber Choir of Europe ensemble are made up of singers from all over Europe, USA and Israel.
Nature, light, and poetry are three of many similarities that characterized this meeting.
"This is a superb collection of my music that also includes world premiere recordings of my settings of Dana Gioia's Prayer and Neruda's Ya eres mia. The orchestra featured on the Lux Aeterna is I Virtuosi Italiani and I accompany many of the other works at the piano. I know you will very much enjoy Maestro Matt's and these gifted singers' brilliant interpretations of a wide variety of my compositions."
