As the title implies, this 1979 session from jazz pianist George Shearing and his trio focuses on swing music, both standards and a handful of originals. The album is one of three that Shearing recorded with guitarist Louis Stewart and bassist Niels Pedersen in the late 1970s after he disbanded his classic quintet and moved toward duos or trios.
