The long awaited premiere of Wolfgang Rihm's Requiem-verses also brought a special debut in March 2017: Mariss Jansons, chief conductor of the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, conducted his orchestra for the first time as part of the musica viva series. The recording of this concert was a coproduction among BR Klassik, musica viva, and NEOS.
