Anthony Burgess, author of A Clockwork Orange and many other novels, was also a busy composer, writing among other works several for recorder. This album, featuring soloists John Turner on recorders and pianist Harvey Davies, presents the first recordings of some of these compositions along with works by 15 other composers in a wide and varied set of styles, most of which are also premieres.
