One of the legendary albums from UK Jazz greats, the Don Rendell / Ian Carr Quintet, this record - along with the rest of the catalogue from this excellent quintet - has reached almost mythical status in the collector's world, as any have tried - and failed - to reissue these albums by legitimate means. However, two decades the initial approach, Universal Music has gone to great lengths to release this material from their vast archives.
Produced by Denis Preston and recorded at his London-based Lansdowne Studios, the band typically included saxophonist Don Rendell, trumpeter Ian Carr, and pianist Michael Garrick.
