At the age of 91, pianist Menahem Pressler turns to Mozart's piano sonatas on this album, pieces that offer technical and interpretive challenges that surpass some of those in the "virtuoso" music of the great Romantic composers. This release, the first volume in a projected complete sonata cycle, features three of the composer's most beloved works in the genre.
