Finally the debut album of Duo Magico is here! Duo Magico is a 8-string guitar duo consisting of Norway’s only 8-string specialists, Per Olav Kobberstad on 8-string guitar and Alf Wilhelm Lundberg on 8-string Brahms guitar. The two players met during the acoustic guitar festival Akustiske Landskap 2 years ago when Per was invited to perform a solo set in the opening concert. They day after they performed together as a duo for the first time and soon discovered that their very different 8-string guitars actually complemented eachother perfectly. After the great start they decided to work together closely and collaborate and write and arrange music together for their new 8-string guitar duo, and after many concerts, rehearsals, jam sessions and recording sessions finally their debut album is here for you to enjoy! The 9 tracks on the album consists of 3 originals from both Per and Alf as well as 3 special arrangements of everything to Norwegian folk songs via Argentinian tango to a piano piece by brasilian composer Egberto Gismonti. The record is recorded, mixed and mastered in Acoustic Landscapes Studio by Alf Wilhelm Lundberg, and the cover art is designed and painted by Per Olav Kobberstad.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
