"... few will have heard any of the works presented or, like me, of some of the composers. However there is much to applaud ... the Coventry Cathedral organ thunders forth to great effect." - Classic FM "... a superb organ disc which brings together some perhaps less well known composers and pieces, but offers tremendous value in terms of quality in all aspects: superlative performance, interesting and inspired programming, a rich well-balanced recording of a superb instrument in peak condition ..." - MusicWeb International Welsh organist Iain Quinn presents a programme offering a glimpse into the rich treasure trove of Scandinavian organ music; a fascinating selection of works from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In addition to hitherto under-recorded such as Sibelius’s Intrada and Palmgren’s Preludes, the album contains two premieres: Nystedt’s Med Jesus vil eg fara and Másson’s Larghetto, written specifically for this release. Quinn recorded these works in England at Coventry Cathedral, also known as St. Michael's Cathedral.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
