This Hamburg Musicians Collective delve into a treasure-trove of global experience from the international playground. World-wide tours with acts such as Nils Landgren, Maria Joao, Chet Faker, Fünf Sterne Delux/Das Bo, Flo Mega, JRBB, Matthias Schriefl, Fiva, Urban Academy and Wootton’s Toystory indicate the players' eclectic cartography. Now they calibrate their instruments afresh for their own musical expedition. The parameters are the freedom of jazz, the variety of urban sub-cultures, boundless technique and incorrigible creativity. For their newest album, TOYTOY will showcase their flexibility and variety. As the title Alex Eckert Universe implies, this program includes only new compositions by the TOYTOY guitarist. All compositions are influenced by concert tours and cultural encounters that the exceptional musician has been able to do together with his fellow musicians in recent years. Eckert has set itself the task of putting the diverse individuals of the TOYTOY crew in the limelight to maximum effect. As a result, the collective character of the band becomes clear - as a counterpoint to the previous album - because TOYTOY has invited many illustrious guests from their artistic environment for the LP production.
