Retrospection from Krzysztof Urbaniak pays tribute to the organ music of the 16th and 17th centuries, from very rarely played pieces of Polish organ tablatures to works by more familiar composers such as Hans Leo Hassler, Jacob Froberger and Matthias Weckmann. An exciting trip through musical history, this programme was chosen to be performed on an instrument as authentic as could be: the Renaissance organ from the Danish Sønderborg Castle, built around 1570 and currently one of the oldest playable organs in Europe.
