"The excellent Montréal ensemble makes a mission of rediscovering music that has slipped through the cracks and these two pieces are wonderful finds ... this is music well worth programming."
- The Globe and Mail

"Quelle belle découverte ... il y a dans la musique de Lekeu une impétuosité, une fougue juvénile, mais aussi une très grande maturité qui ne manquera pas de surprendre parce que certains passages peuvent autant évoquer Schubert que Beethoven. Une très très belle parution ..."
- Radio-Canada

Trio Hochelaga from Montréal shares its passion for chamber music ranging from the classical era to contemporary music on this recording of two relatively-unknown pieces by Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu. Comprising members Anne Robert on violin, cellist Paul Marleyn and pianist Stéphane Lemelin, Trio Hochelaga is considered one of Canada's most important musical ensembles. The trio is joined by Toronto Symphony Orchestra violist Teng Li on Lekeu’s Piano Quartet.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
