Sinematic, Robertson’s first new studio album since 2011’s How To Become Clairvoyant, is now released on UMG. As reported, the album is inspired partly by his film score writing and recording for the upcoming Martin Scorsese-directed crime epic The Irishman.
The former co-founder of The Band also took inspiration for the new album from the forthcoming feature documentary Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band, based on Robertson’s bestselling 2016 memoir, Testimony.
