American composer Eric Whitacre's 2012 release Water Night contains seven world premiere recordings performed by the Eric Whitacre Singers, the composer’s own Grammy-winning, UK-based professional choir. The singers are joined by the London Symphony Orchestra, cellist Julian Lloyd Webber and soprano Hila Plitmann on this album which went straight to number one on the Billboard classical charts immediately upon release.
