“The new master of the slide guitar.”
- Montreux Jazz Festival
“The real thang.”
- Bootsy Collins
Jack Broadbent began recording Moonshine Blue two years ago, starting in Nashville and then finishing in Montreal. The album's nine tracks were each hardened and tested on the road during Broadbent's electrifying one-man shows. They were then filled out and produced with the help of his father, Micky Broadbent – notable for playing bass and keys with Bram Tchaikovsky in the 70s and 80s.
Born June 15th, 1988 in rural Lincolnshire, England, Jack grew up listening to artists like Radiohead, Robert Johnson, Joni Mitchell and Davey Graham. These legends influenced Jack’s distinctive song writing, singing, production and performance style, giving his music a depth and heart that defies strict musical genre.
