This is the third volume in a six album series of the complete orchestral works of Barber, from conductor Marin Alsop and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. A Grammy nomination for Best Instrumental Solo Performance with Orchestra went to violinist James Buswell in 2003 for his brilliant solo work here. Rounding out the programme are Barber's Souvenirs (Ballet Suite) and Serenade for Strings.
