This 20th anniversary rerelease of the soundtrack to The Lion King is part of a series celebrating the anniversaries of Disney’s most cherished and classic films. Elton John, Tim Rice and composer Hans Zimmer created a sweeping musical landscape to accompany the lush animation and all three earned Academy Awards along the way. The album went to number one in the US and several other countries and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide, one of the best-selling soundtracks in history. This reissue includes, for the first time, Zimmer's evocative complete score and previously-unreleased demo recordings.
